The study deals with a small sculpture of the Virgin Mary from a Chateau Chapple in Janovice u R\u00fdma\u0159ova, now held in The Silesian Museum in Opava. This sculpture is a copy of the famous early renaissance statue of the Virgin Mary today kept in the Germanishes Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg.\n<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The study seeks to provide a brief overview of the history of the Catholic parish by the Church of St. Wenceslas in\nVelk\u00e1 Polom in the Opava region, specifically until the end of the 17th century. In Velk\u00e1 Polom, sometime between\nthe last quarter of the 15th and the first quarter of the 16th century, a new late Gothic brick church was built, which still stands in the village today. The paper is based primarily on the study of sources. The author focused primarily on the spiritual administrator of the parish, the parish Church of St. Wenceslas and its contents, parish dwellings, the extent of the parish district and the position of the parish in the context of the development of church administration.\n<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The study deals with the builder Flori\u00e1n Jilg from T\u011b\u0161\u00edn. It describes his activities in T\u011b\u0161\u00edn and details both the construction of the evangelical church in Byst\u0159ice and the parish church in Hnojn\u00edk, as well as the construction and reconstruction of houses in T\u011b\u0161\u00edn according to Jilgo\u2019s plans. It characterizes Jilg\u2019s architecture in the broader context of architecture and in comparison with the work of local builders. As a regional construction master and city builder, Flori\u00e1n Jilg was one of the important figures of classicism in the region of T\u011b\u0161\u00edn.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
